Sindh Cabinet approves removal of IGP AD Khawaja
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh Cabinet approved the removal of IGP AD Khawaja during a meeting on Saturday.
The meeting was presided over by CM Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to make Abdul Majeed Dasti, a BS-21 officer, the new IGP.
During the meeting, Provincial Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that a junior officer cannot be appointed for a top slot in the presence of senior officers.
Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial said that the elected representatives were answerable. “We have reservations about the proposals of AD Khawaja,” he said.
He said that no one has been victimized politically in Sindh.
About the arrest of Hammad Siddiqui, Sohail Anwar Sial said that no Sindh police team had gone to the UAE to arrest him.
