Sindh Cabinet grants special powers to Rangers for 90 days
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh Cabinet granted special powers to the Rangers for 90 days.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting presided over Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday. The powers have been granted under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
After getting special powers, the Rangers will be able to arrest the people involved in four heinous crimes, including extortion, target killing and kidnap for ransom.
The culprits will be handed over to the police after investigations.
Several senior ministers, including Nisar Khoru, Manzoor Wassan, Mir Hazar Khan Bajrani, Sardar Shah, Jam Mehtab Dehr and Jam Shoro, supported special powers.
