Sindh Governor Imran Ismail defends establishment of Islands Authority
KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has defended the establishment of the Islands Authority, saying the development of islands will attract investment.
Talking to the media after offering condolences over the death of mother of Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Shah on Monday, he said that the Federation wants unity of Sindh, not division.
"A majority of the residents of Sindh does not want new provinces. People of Punjab want new provinces," he added.
He said that Nawaz Sharif is issuing statements after being ousted from politics. "New cities are the need of the hour. Cities on the islands of Karachi will be established after permission from the Sindh government," he added.
The Sindh governor said that the new cities on the islands of Karachi will improve the economy.
