Sindh govt decides to remove AD Khawaj as police chief
KARACHI (92 News) – The authorities have on Monday decided to relieve Sindh Police Chief from service at the behest of an influential personality.
Sources said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khawaja will go on leave after which a new IG Sindh would be appointed.
The provincial authorities had earlier also tried to relieve the Sindh IGP from service but the federation and Sindh Chief Minister stopped this, sources said.
“An influential personality of the province was angry with AD Khawaja over appointment on political basis,” sources added.
Sindh IGP had strictly barred the usage of police on political basis in Badin.
