Sindh govt delays election of Karachi’s mayor

KARACHI (92 News) – Following the delaying tactics of Sindh government, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will have to wait another two to three months for the Karachi’s mayorship.

Sources said that the schedule of election for Karachi’s Mayor will be announced two or three weeks after the process of election on reserve seats would complete on February 14.

Sources said that the provincial government would complete the phase of election of chairman and vice chairman of 22 Municipal Corporations and the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be held at the end.
