ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that Sindh is facing dictatorship in the name of democracy.

Addressing press conference at Karachi Press Club on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Sindh chief minister was making speeches against the Supreme Court through puppets. He asked the Supreme Court to implement Article 140A in Sindh.

He said that 750 billion rupees has been provided to Sindh but the backward areas are not getting anything, adding, "Next time we will form a government in Sindh."

He further said that Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has no control over his party, opposition leader sometimes use PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, sometimes PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and sometimes someone else's shoulder.

"PTI wants to strengthen the Parliament. Opposition parties have no agenda and they are weakening the parliament and the democracy. JUI-F chief and opposition’s alliance PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman wants to disrupt the system. Opposition cannot defeat Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan," the minister mentioned

Commenting on water theft issues, Fawad Chaudhry maintained that IRSA launched an investigation into claims of water theft by Punjab from the Sindh government. However, he said that when IRSA took measures in this regard, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah ran away from it.

“They denied the IRSA team from collecting a record of entry and exit of water,” he said and asked as to why lands of Murad Ali Shah and Faryal Talpur never witnessed water scarcity.
