Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai cancelled after Shiv Sena threats
MUMBAI – Renowned Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai has been cancelled after threats by the Shiv Sena, reported 92 News.
The concert was cancelled after the organizers met Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday. The event was supposed to be a tribute to Indian singer Jagjit Singh.
“We can’t have cultural ties with Pakistan when they kill our soldiers,” the Shiv Sena had said earlier, demanding that the concert be cancelled.
Ghulam Ali was scheduled to perform on Friday at Mumbai’s Shanmukhanand Hall.
