KARACHI (92 News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq passed away on Saturday.

Naeemul Haq, a cancer patient, was admitted to Agha Khan University Hospital a few days ago.

His funeral will be held at Ayesha Mosque, Khayaban-e-Ittehad, Karachi after the Asr prayers.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over the death of Naeemul Haq. He along with other cabinet members will attend his funeral in Karachi tomorrow.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan said: “In the last two years, I saw him battle cancer with courage and optimism. Till the very end, he was involved in party affairs and attended cabinet meetings as long as he was able. His passing has left an irreplaceable void.

“Am devastated by one of my oldest friend Naeem’s passing. He was one of the 10 founding members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and by far the most loyal. In 23 years of PTI’s trials and tribulations, he stood by me. He was always there for support whenever we were at our lowest ebb.”

Special Assistant to the PM on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Naeemul Haq. “Naeemul Haq was an asset for the party which suffered a great loss due to his death.”

She prayed may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in peace and grant courage to his family to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary confirmed his death in a tweet.

He said that Naeemul Haq would be remembered forever.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has also expressed profound grief over the death of Naeemul Haq. He paid glowing tributes to Naeemul Haq for his services for the party.
