Sri Lanka notch up 14-run against UAE in Asia Cup
DHAKA (92 News) – Sri Lanka defeated United Arab Emirates by 14 runs in the second match of the Asia Cup at Shere Bangla National on Thursday.
Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 129 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Chandimal (50), Dilshan (27) and Jayasuriya (10) and Kapugendra (10) were main scorers. Amjad Javed got three wickets, while Mohammad Naveed and Mohammad Shahzad took two wickets each.
In reply, UAE could score 115 runs for the loss of nine wickets in20 overs. SP Patil (37), Shaiman Anwar (13) and Amjad Javed (13) were top scorers.
Malinga chipped in with four wickets, while Kalusekara and Herath got three and two wickets respectively.
