LAHORE (92 News) – All is set for the country’s most costly political bout in NA-122 where former NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of the PML-N and Aleem Khan of the PTI are facing each other in the by-poll.
The Lahore DCO has imposed section 144 in the city for two days.
In a statement, a spokesman for the Election Commission of Pakistan said that they had made all arrangements for by-polls in NA-122, NA-144 and PP-147.
He said that polling equipment had been sent to all polling stations, while the Pak Army and police officials had assumed their responsibilities.
He added that the media persons and commentators had been issued cards for the coverage.
The presiding officers will be allowed to enter the polling stations after a thorough frisk.
Detective dogs have also been used by security personnel.
Moreover, Pak Army officials have been assigned the powers of a magistrate.
