Strong earthquake jolts parts of Balochistan
GWADAR (92 News) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 hit South-Western region of Pakistan along Arabian Sea coast on Wednesday.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the tremor was around 90 kilometer south of Turbat.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which struck parts of Balochistan including Gwadar, Turbat and adjoining areas.
The tumbler created panic in the people.
Pakistan is located in one of the most earthquake prone areas with high vulnerability to earthquakes.
Geographically, the country lies in the collision zone of the India tectonic plate to the south and the Eurasian plate to the north.
