Swine flu death toll continues to rise, Punjab govt issues alert

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Another patient has on Tuesday died of swine flu in Rawalpindi, increasing the death toll in the city to six.

As the death toll in the city continues to rise, the Punjab government has issued high alert in the hospitals, while the dengue ward of Holy Family Hospital has been converted into swine flu ward.

The staff has been directed to perform additional duty, while control room and monitoring have also been set up.


Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had directed the Health Department authorities to carry out necessary measures to prevent Swine Flu.
