Taliban, Afghan government decide to resume talks

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Afghan government and Taliban have on Friday decided to resume the reconciliation process and the dialogues are expected to be held in Pakistan in during the second week of January.

The Muree peace talks were cancelled following the death of Taliban leader Mullah Umer.

Sources said that the Afghan government and Taliban have expressed willingness to resume the dialogue process, while Pakistan and China are playing an important role for the resumption of dialogues.
