Talks succeed as Punjab CM forms committee to resolve farmers problems
LAHORE (92 News) – The talks between the Punjab government and the Kissan Ittehad succeeded on Thursday.
A delegation led by Kissan Ittehad chairman Chaudhry Anwar met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The chief minister has formed a committee comprising of provincial ministers, the chief secretary, respective secretaries and representatives of the Kisan Ittehad.
The committee will prepare recommendations for the resolution of the problems of the farmers.
The CM said that the first meeting of the committee would be held on Friday and the Agriculture Policy would be announced in consultation with the Kisan Ittehad representatives.
He said that the small farmer was facing losses in cotton, potato and rice crops.
Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Dr Farrukh Javed and Yawar Zaman also attended the meeting.
