Tareen, Aleem discuss nominee for CM, speaker with PML-Q leadership
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan held a meeting with PML-Q leadership, including Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Chaudhry Monis Elahi on Sunday here.
They discussed nomination for the slot of the Punjab chief minister, the speaker and the deputy speaker in Punjab provincial assembly. Matters related to making contacts with newly elected legislators and the parliamentary party meeting on 14th of August was also discussed.
Addressing the conference, Jahangir Tareen said that the PTI will strengthen the institution and bring transparency in Punjab.
“We will strengthen institutions, and not make weak the country’s institutions during Sharif’s rule. We will tell the public of our successes as well as our mistakes,” Tareen said.
On the occasion, PML-Q’s Elahi thanked Aleem Khan and Tareen for their visit and said that his party talked about nominations for the speaker, deputy speaker and chief minister.
He also said that the upcoming challenges of Punjab were discussed in the meeting. He added that it is the party’s priority to make laws in the interests of the provinces and the country.
