Tareen disqualification is according to script, say PML-N leaders
ISLAMABAD (92 News) Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said that the decision of Jahangir Tareen’s is not surprising.
Reacting to the disqualification of PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen, she said that everything is justified for those using bad words for the constitution. “An ATM has been closed.
Jahangir Tareen saying others dacoits has been proved a thief. Now the money of Hindus and Jews has been blocked through which sit-ins were staged,” she said.
Marriyum said: “The reservations on the SC verdict is our constitutional right. Fingers are pointed where the decisions of double standards are pronounced.” “Nawaz Sharif, during his GT Road rally, had also said that one law cannot have two sides,” she said.
She added that on one hand Nawaz was disqualified on the basis of an Iqama and receivable income which he did not withdraw, while on the other hand, existence of an offshore company and foreign funding was said to have no bearing on the case.
PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi said that he will express his opinion on the verdict after going through the detailed judgment.
PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz has said that Jahangir Tareen has been sacrificed to save Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. He said that the verdict is according to the script.
“What is the logic of five years? Who set the date of five years? Imran Khan repeatedly confessed to the crime. Why the condition of five years has been entered? Was Nawaz Sharif not eligible? He should have been also given the five-year concession,” he remarked.
The PML-N leader said that the court went to 1962 in the Nawaz Sharif case. He said that political engineering is going on as stated by Khursheed Shah and Farooq Sattar. “There would have neither been the PTI nor Imran Khan had there been a justified verdict,” he said.
Talal Chaudhry said that the pocket of Imran has been picked. “How can Imran be declared disqualified as he is used to stage dramas?” he observed.
He said that the practice of declaring those ineligible as eligible has been in vogue in the country since long. “Nawaz Sharif is justified in saying that the judicial system should be rectified,” he said.
