KARACHI (92 News) – Target killings and murders have reduced by 44 and 37 percent respectively due to the Rangers operation in Karachi.

In a briefing on Saturday, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry said that 96,255 criminals, including 688 terrorists, have been arrested during the operation.

He said that 90.79 million SIMs were verified through the bio-metric system.

“About 5.1 millions SIMs have been blocked,” he added.

He said that it is wrong impression that no work has been done on the National Action Plan. “The issue of the NGOs’ funding is not under the Interior Ministry,” he said.
