Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (SAW) continues sit-in at D Chowk
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (SAW) continued protesting on Friday at the D-Chowk in the federal capital in favor of their demands.
The participants of the rally led by Moulana Ashraf Jilali reached D-Chowk from Lahore via GT Road to protest changes made to the Khatam-e-Nabuwat declaration for electoral candidates.
Strict security arrangements have been made and thousands of police personnel have been deployed in the capital.
Addressing the participants, Moulana Ashraf Jilali demanded to sack those involved in hatching conspiracies against Khatam-e-Nabuwat faith. He announced to hold country-wide protest and sit-in after Friday prayer.
The protesters’ further demanded the government to punish those involved in the recent change of wording in the declaration of Khatam-e-Nabuwat in election laws. The protesters claim that the change was a conspiracy to weaken the oath of Khatm-e-Nabuwat.
The demonstrators also demanded Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah to be de-seated due to his statements.
On Thursday, the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) had removed the banners installed in Faisalabad regarding the Labaik YaRasoolullah Conference which would held in the city on November 2.
The activists of the religious party staged a protest and chanted slogans against the administration.
Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chairman Hamid Raza also condemned the removing of banners from the city.
