Terrorists’ treatment case: Dr Asim, others to be indicted on Sept 17
KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court will frame charges against Dr Asim and others in the terrorists’ treatment case on September 17.
The court declared MQM leader Saleem Shahzad a proclaimed offender. However, Dr Asim could not be produced due to ailment.
MQM leaders Waseem Akhtar and Rauf Siddiqui and PPP’s Qadir Patil were brought to court in police mobile vans, while PSP leader Anees Qaimkhani was brought in an armored vehicle.
The media was not allowed to enter court during the hearing. The investigation officer recorded his statement in the absence of MQM leader Saleem Shahzad.
He said that Saleem Shahzad was in London and he could not be arrested. “The accused has no property in Karachi,” he said.
