Three cops killed in Quetta firing
QUETTA (92 News) – At least three policemen were martyred and one person injured when terrorists opened fire on them on Saryab road in the provincial capital on Sunday.
As per details, some unidentified armed assailants opened firing at a police checkpost in Quetta’s Saryab Road’s Chaki Shahwani Road, resultantly a policeman was killed on the spot, while two cops and a passerby sustained injuries.
The attackers managed to flee from the spot and the incident.
The injured persons were shifted to local hospital for medical assistance where they succumbed to injuries.
Police and Frontier Corps cordoned off the area and launched operation. Several suspects were arrested during the operation.
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has strongly condemned the firing incident on the part of terrorists on Sariab Road.
In a message, Nawab Zehri has expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over martyrdom of three police personnel in the incident.
He further said that they are proud of the police personnel who embraced martyrdom while discharging their duties.
