Three female students injured in Gujrat acid attack
GUJRAT (92 News) – Three female students were injured in an acid attack at Chanan Stop on Dinga Road on Thursday.
Saira, Asia and Ume Younis, students of the University of Gujrat, were waiting for a bus when accused Awais, Abdul Qadir and Bahadar threw acid on their faces.
They received severe burns and were shifted to hospital. The acid-thrower, who is maternal uncle of the girls, has been arrested.
The police are conducting raids to arrest the fleeing accused.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Gujrat DPO.
He has also ordered the best medical treatment for the victims.
