Three killed, 25 injured in Khanewal road accident
KHANEWAL (92 News) – At least three passengers were killed while 25 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a trailer at Makhdoompur Interchange in Khanewal on Friday morning.
According to the reports, the bus was heading towards Multan from Chakwal, when it collided with a standing trailer.
Meanwhile, the rescue teams from all over the district reached at the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital. They pulled out bodies and injured persons after cutting the bus body.
A day earlier, as many as 11 people were killed and five injured when a coaster hit a rickshaw in Saeedabad, Bhit Shah.
The rickshaw riders were labourers and going on work. The injured and bodies have been shifted to hospital. The reason behind the accident is said to be over-speeding.
The police have seized the bus and arrested the driver.
In another accident, two people were killed and 17 injured in a collision between a truck and a passenger coach in Khairpur.
The doomed coach was heading to Swat from Karachi. The injured have been shifted to hospitals in Khairpur.
