KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday again alleged that three current ministers have links with the banned outfits.

Addressing a press conference with Sindh Chief Minister Murad ali Shah at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Sarbabz Sindh’, the PPP leader demanded the prime minister to take strict action against the cabinet members, alleging that as many as three federal ministers are in close contact with the members of banned organisations.

“The action against the proscribed organizations is not enmity against the country, however, this is demand of the opposition,” he said. He said that such ministers, who have links with banned outfits, should not be members of the cabinet.

Bilawal Bhutto asked the government to take strict action against banned outfits. He added that the country could not progress in such circumstances. Rejecting the JIT formed in the fake accounts case, the PPP leader claimed it was a conspiracy against him and his name was expunged by the chief justice.

“The government, instead of helping people who are suffering, is engaged in economic murder,” he said and added that the public is drowning in a tsunami of inflation. “Rather than helping the poor, the government is involved in the economic killing of the poor,” he said.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the India is involved in ‘water terrorism’ for stopping water to Pakistan. He also said that the Sindh government is starting campaign in Sindh green, adding that they will try to reduce the effect of climate change with plantation of trees.

The PPP leader mentioned that they would plant fruit trees including mangoes and the people will get fruits.

Bilawal asks NAB chief to hold his officials accountable

A day earlier, Bilawal Bhutto asked National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Justice Javed Iqbal to hold his officials accountable.

Bilawal Bhutto met Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani. Addressing a press briefing after a meeting, the PPP chairman strongly condemned the arrest of Agha Siraj Durrani, adding that the speaker was apprehended without any proofs.

Bilawal demanded from the NAB chief to take action against his officials for violations otherwise this work would be done by its party. He said that he came to the assembly for expressing solidarity with Agha Siraj Durrani. He said that the speaker’s designation is constitutional and the NAB attacked on the sanctity of the provincial assembly.

He mentioned that the speaker was arrested by the anti-graft institution made by former president Pervez Musharraf. “The law of NAB is the black law. Anyone can be alleged the Assets beyond income case. The NAB raided on the house of speaker and violated sanctity of four-walls,” he said. “We will not bear this human rights violation,” he added.

Bilawal said that in this way neither justice can be provided nor the system can run. He said that the Sindh Assembly approved the resolution of Pakistan and the post of Speaker Sindh Assembly does not belong to the PPP. “Attack on the Sindh Assembly is unfortunate.”

Failure of PPP not to amend black law of NAB

Bilawal said that the NAB law is black law and it was also failure of the PPP government not to amend the black law. The PPP chairman asked the purpose behind taking suo motu notice of fake account case during election campaign, adding that injustice is being done against him. “Free and fair trial is our right under Article 10 of the constitution,” he said.

Bilawal raises voice against banned organizations

Raising voice against banned organizations, the PPP chairman said why the incumbent government was not taking action against banned outfits. “How would the government assure the opposition that action is being taken against the banned organizations,” he added.

Bilawal said that why a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is not constituted against the proscribed organisations, adding that the investigation should be don how they get assets.

“Zardari was sentenced only on a one call but no case was lodged against the banned outfits. Why the NRO impression was given to the banned out fits. Three ministers are in contact with these organizations and they should be sacked from their designations,” he mentioned.
