Torture of tourist family: seven accused arrested
MURREE (92 News) – The police have arrested the seven accused those involved in torturing a tourist family in Murree.
As per reports, the police took action against the accused after taking notice of the higher authorities. The police raided and arrested the seven accused.
However, the extra personnel were deployed on the crowded areas of Murree after the recent incident of torture of tourist family. The departmental inquiry has also been launched against the police official for their carelessness during the incident.
Earlier today, the police failed to arrest the accused involved in torturing a tourist family even after several hours of the incident. After taking notice by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the police registered the case and raided several places to arrest the accused.
The CM also ordered the IGP Punjab to investigate the incident and submit him a report. He also suspended the Chowki Bazaar in-charge and moharar for not cooperating with the victim family.
He also directed to provide justice to the victim family at all costs and arrest the accused. On the other hand, the Murree AC has called a meeting to review the matter.
