Trader suffers heavy loss due to fireworks during PDM rally in Multan
MULTAN (92 News) – A trader had to pay the price as his gowdown was gutted due to fireworks for the public meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Trader Sheikh Awais told the media that PML-N leader Shahid Mahmood displayed fireworks which resulted into a fire. "I suffered a loss of lacs of rupees and the PDM parties or the government should compensate for the loss," he added.
Senator Faisal Javed said that the PDM set the belongings of a trader on fire for their celebration. "A case should be registered against the responsible people. The government will do what will be necessary for the compensation," he said.
Punjab Minister for Jails Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said that hooliganism was shown in Multan. "A had already told that the opposition will suffer a defeat," he added.
He said that the trader should be provided justice.
On the other hand, PML-N leader Shahid Mahmood rejected the allegations and said that the incident had occurred after the rally. "The loss is regrettable and the matter should be investigated," he added.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that they are collecting information about the incident. "We will cooperate with the traders after the investigations," he added.
