Traffic blocked as BZU Lahore students protest on Canal Road
LAHORE (92 News) – The students of Bahauddin Zakariya University Lahore campus protested against the government for the fulfillment of their demands on Monday.
The students staged a sit-in on Canal Road, causing severe traffic jam on adjoining roads.
The enraged students, expressing displeasure over not getting registered degrees from Higher Education Commission, said that they are only demanding for their degrees, nothing else.
“We are demanding our degrees, not suicide jackets. Why are we being ill-treated?” the protesters asked.
Police has been called to deal with the protesting students while water cannon has also been brought to disperse the protest.
