Two blasts targeting security personnel leave several injured in Balochistan
QUETTA (92 News) – Two blasts in Balochistan on Sunday left several people injured, including three Levies personnel and a member of the Frontier Corps.
As per reports, the injured persons including a tehsildar sustained critical injuries in a bomb blast which was detonated in a motorcycle on Sunday near security forces vehicle in Balochistan.
The blast targeted a Levies vehicle in which Tehsildar Abdul Maalik Tareen and his guard Salahuddin were travelling. The police say the blast occurred near the Police Line Jan Adda.
An improvised explosive device planted in a motorcycle parked outside Tareen’s office detonated as he was entering the building. Police said Tareen and two other Levies personnel were injured.
Police, Levies and FC personnel arrived at the scene and sealed the area.
The injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Pishin. Tareen and Salahuddin were shifted to the trauma centre at Civil Hospital, Quetta for treatment because their condition was reported as severe. The others are out of danger.
The vehicle was severely damaged in the blast. Its windows also shattered with the impact.
In another blast, two people including a Frontier Corps soldier and a civilian were injured in a remote-controlled blast in Panjgur district. The wounded were rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
A security official who declined to be named said the miscreants targeted an FC vehicle with the roadside remote-controlled bomb in Panjgur bazaar. The blast also damaged the vehicle.
