Two civilians injured in unprovoked Indian firing across LoC

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – At least two civilians were injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian troops across the restive Line of Control (LoC).

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that two civilian in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) were injured by unprovoked firing of Indian forces across LoC.

While providing a 24-hour situation update, maintained that Indian forces targeted the civilian population in Bagsar sector near AJK’s Bhimber district.

The ISPR said that two citizens named Azmat Bibi, 55-year-old, and Baba Khan, 75-year-old, sustained severe injuries. Meanwhile, India is indulged in a false propaganda against Pakistan Army saying that it is targeting civilian population.

The army has denied all such fake claims asserting that it is targeting only specific points in retaliation.

Unprovoked firing continued by Indian force along LoC: ISPR

Earlier, updating a situation, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) notified that India continued unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) during the last 24 hours.

According to the ISPR, Indian troops continued intermittent firing in different sectors along the LoC. Indian forces violated the LoC at Nezapir, Khanjar, Batal, Bagh Sar, Pando and other sectors.

In his statement, the ISPR said that the Pakistan Army gave a “befitting response by targeting Indian posts”. It also stated that that no causality was reported on their end in past 24 hours.

The ISPR further said that Pakistani armed forces continue to be alert and vigilant and are fully prepared to curt reply to any misadventure by the Indian forces.

Despite releasing the Indian pilot as “peace gesture” by Pakistani government, Indian army reluctant to de-escalate tension in the region by continued violation of the LoC.


Earlier, two Pakistani soldiers and two citizens were martyred as Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) on March 2.

Martyred soldier Naik Khuram laid to rest with full military honours

Earlier today, martyred soldier Naik Muhammad Khuram, who was killed after Indian forces opened fire along the Line of Control in Kashmir on Saturday, laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan with full military honours.

Naik Khuram’s funeral prayers were held in Dera Ghazi Khan. His body was brought to DG Khan Saturday night. Firing and heavy shelling by the Indian side in the Nakyal sector of Kashmir resulted in the deaths of two Pakistan Army soldiers – Naik Khuram and Hawaldar Abdul Rab.

Naik Khuram hailed from DG Khan’s Mehboobad while Hawaldar Rab was from DG Khan’s Taunsa Sharif tehsil. The latter was laid to rest on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), two Pakistan Army soldiers, Havaldar Abdul Rub, 31, and Naik Khurram, also 31, and two civilians were martyred when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing at Nakiyal Sector along the LoC on Saturday. According to the ISPR, the martyred jawans include Havaldar Abdur Rab and Naik Khurram.

Moreover, two civilians were also martyred and as many injured in the Indian unprovoked firing in Tatta Pani and Jadrot sectors. The injured were immediately shifted to Kotli.

The Pakistan Army also gave a befitting reply and destroyed several Indian army check-posts. As a result, nine Indian soldiers were killed and 32 others were injured. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy have been put on high alert to thwart Indian aggression.

A day earlier, martyred soldier Havaldar Abdur Rab laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan with full military honours.

The large number of army officials and the general public attended funeral prayer of martyred soldier Havaldar Abdur Rab.
