Two held over targeted killing of Chinese national in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday apprehended at least two suspects in the targeted killing of a Chinese national.
The arrested suspects were shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation.
On February 5, a Chinese national was killed while another was injured among two people in a target killing incident in Karachi’s Defense Housing Authority (DHA).
The two employees of a Chinese shipping company were targeted while they were traveling in a car in the Zamzama district. The perpetrators fired at least nine shots before fleeing in a car in what was described as a targeted attack.
On February 6, China urged Pakistan to rapidly bring perpetrators to justice after unidentified gunmen shot at two Chinese nationals in the southern city of Karachi, killing one of them.
