UN officially declares Pakistan safest country, employees to live with families
NEW YORK (92 News) – The United Nations has discontinued non-family status of Islamabad duty station from June 14, declaring Pakistan officially the safest country.
After the decision, the UN officers and employees will be able to live with their families in Pakistan.
The UN International Civil Service Commission has informed Pakistan about the decision.
The decision has been made on the recommendations of Under-Secretary General United Nations Department for Safety and Security.
A few countries have the family status for the United Nations.
The UN International Civil Service Commission has informed Dr Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Pakistan has been made a centre of peace after rendering innumerable sacrifices.
