Unidentified assailants shot dead DSP in Quetta
QUETTA (92 News) – Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Umer Rehman was killed while his nephew Sub-Inspector Bilal injured when some unidentified armed assailants opened firing in the provincial capital’s Jail Road on Tuesday.
As per details, unidentified armed men opened firing in Quetta’s Jail Road area, due to which DSP Umer Rehman and his nephew Sub-Inspector Bilal sustained critical injuries.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured men to Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center.
The DSP was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) due to the unavailability of Trauma Center’s Neuro Consultant Dr Naqeebullah Achakzai where he succumbed to wounds.
Additional Deputy Commissioner has sent application for the departmental level inquiry against Dr Naqeebullah Achakzai.
The Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri has taken notice and sought a report of the incident.
