ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Interior Ministry on Tuesday submitted a notification in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) blacklisting the US diplomat who killed a biker in Islamabad earlier this month.
A bench of the high court was hearing a petition seeking to place the name of the US diplomat on the Exit Control List (ECL).
During the proceedings, the ministry submitted a notification of blacklisting the US defense and air attaché Col Joseph Emmanuel in case pertaining to the death of 22-year-old Ateeq Baig.
The court directed that the US diplomat should be investigated whether he is in Pakistan or in the US to which Attorney General Raj Khalid told the court that Col Joseph cannot leave the country.
He said that due to diplomatic immunity neither he (the US diplomat) can be tried nor he can be arrest.
