US felicitates Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on appointment as COAS
WASHINGTON (92 News) – US State Department spokesman Mark Toner has on Thursday congratulated General Qamar Javed Bajwa on assuming charges as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan army.
Addressing media briefing in Washington on Thursday, he said that United States is working closely with Pakistan in the field of counterterrorism.
Toner said that Pakistan has suffered a lot from the menace of terrorism, and it is in the interest of Pakistan also to crackdown on terrorist groups.
Responding to a question that terrorist get training in Pakistan and then hit US interests across the world, the US spokesman said these are mere allegations as the law enforcement agencies have not been able to confirm these allegations.
