US-Pakistan relations saw ups & downs during 15 years: Asif Zardari
LAHORE (92 News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has on Tuesday said that Pakistan has rendered sacrifices in war on terror but the US-Pakistan relations have seen ups and downs for the past 15 years.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari said that the US-Pakistan relations could not normalize even after 15 years.
He said that the recent dispute over funding for the sale of F-16s demonstrates the distances between the two countries.
Former president said that Pakistan is emerging as a strong democratic country in the region which is on a track of growth, while the investment is also coming.
He said that the people of Pakistan are fighting against terrorism in his country, adding that the terrorists are still operating in Pakistan.
