US support Afghan govt, Taliban dialogues

WASHINGTON (92 News) – US State Department Spokesman Mark Toner has on Wednesday said that the US support dialogues between Afghan government and Taliban.

Addressing a news briefing in Washington, he said that the US has no role in the negotiations in any format, adding that our goal is to continue to support the Afghan military as it steps up its fight against the Taliban and pushes much needed reforms in the economy and the democratic system.

The spokesman said that the resolution all outstanding issues between Pakistan and India lie in the dialogues and the tensions between the two countries will reduce.

Toner again urged Pakistan to take action against miscreant groups and their hideouts present inside its territory.
