Vehicles pile-up leaves five dead in Sukheke
SUKHEKE (92 News) – At least five persons were killed and several others injured when more than six cars, truck and a bus collided with each other on motorway near Sukheke on Thursday.
As per details, the ill-fated incident occurred due to thick smog which covered several areas of Punjab for second consecutive day, killing five persons on the spot and injuring several others
After being informed, rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Residents of Punjab again woke up to a blanket of smog on Thursday as air quality deteriorated sharply overnight in Punjab different areas, triggering warnings that even healthy people were at risk of respiratory problems.
The Motorway has been closed for traffic in different areas including Pindi Bhattian, Faisalabad due to low visibility
Dense smog continue to exist over Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Bhakkar, Attock , Taxila, Sargodha, Gujrat and other cities in the province.
Police sources said that fog related accident left two brothers killed in Sargodha. Motorway police asked drivers to take precautionary measures and remained fog lights on.
