WAPDA Chairman Zafar Mahmood resigns for writing column on Kalabagh Dam
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – WAPDA Chairman Zafar Mahmood has tendered his resignation in row over writing a column and holding press conferences on the Kalabagh Dam.
The government was angry with the Wapda chairman for talking about the Kalabagh Dam in the public.
Sources said that the Wapda chairman had not tendered the resignations for personal reasons, but he was under immense pressure from the government.
They said that the authorities had stopped Zafar Mehmood from addressing businessmen and speaking in favor of the Kalabagh Dam several times.
Talking to the media, WAPDA Chairman Zafar Mehmood said that a group was making the dam controversial.
