Waseem knocks out Panama’s Valdez to win int’l challenge fight

PANAMA CITY (92 News) – Pakistan’s rising star and two-time silver flyweight world champion Muhammad Waseem straight pounded Eliecer Valdez in Panama on Wednesday to register his sixth straight win.

Pakistani boxer Mohammad Waseem won the International Challenge Fight in Panama City. In an eight-round ranking fight, Muhammad Wasim defeated Eliecer Valdez of Panama.

The Pakistani boxer knocked out the challenger from Panama in the second round, registering his fourth career knockout. Waseem has been preparing in Panama since June 29 with Las Vegas-based trainer Jeff Mayweather for a probable WBC title fight later this year.

With this victory, Muhammad Waseem has jumped to number one in the World Boxing Council’s Silver Flyweight rankings as this is his fourth consecutive victory.

The 29-year-old Waseem is expected to continue being very active until he secures the world title opportunity.
