Watta Satta: Groom, bride among six held in Bhalwal
BHALWAL (92 News) – The police foiled an attempt to solemnize Watta Satta, exchange marriage, in Bhalwal on Wednesday.
Muhammad Arif of Ahli Colony had arranged the marriage of his son Amjad with the daughter of Umar Hayat of Rawalpindi. In exchange, he arranged the marriage of his 12-year-old daughter with 25-year-old Adil.
After getting information, a police party led by ASI Mahmood Hashmat arrested the groom, bride and their parents.
Further investigations are underway.
