COAS pays rich tribute to sacrifices of troops fighting war on terror valiantly
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A Corps Commander Conference was held at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif chaired the conference.
The forum was briefed in detail about internal and external security situation of the country.
The participants of the conference dwelt at length on operational preparedness, training and other professional matters.
The COAS, while lauding the successful completion of Shawal operation, paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the troops of Army, Frontier Corps and Rangers who are valiantly fighting the war against terrorism to make Pakistan a safer place.
A comprehensive plan for carrying out combing operations was approved to pre-empt potential sleeper cells and hideouts of terrorists while simultaneously enhancing the reach of local and provincial law enforcement agencies.
