We cannot depute Rangers in Sindh without legal protection, says Nisar
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has on Sunday said that they would raise issue of extension in special powers of Rangers in front of Sindh Governemnt, adding that they cannot depute Rangers in Sindh without legal protection.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, Chaudhry Nisar said that only Sindh government will decide whether they wanted to extend Rangers powers or not, adding that the Sindh government will have to show serioursness. “The matter of Rangers deputation will be raised during a meeting to be chaired by the prime minister in Karachi tomorrow,” Nisar added.
Commenting on Imran Farooq murder case, he said that the First Information Report (FIR) was registered in the light of Joint Investigation Team’s report, adding that the investigation team is working independently. “Even Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was not aware of the FIR,” he said.
The minister declared the reports of international media regaring US delegation’s meeting with the prime minister or Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, a propaganda. “The main culprit in California shooting, Tashfeen Malik was a Pakistani but she was living in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
