We have suffered a lot in war against terror, says Ashraf Ghani
ISLAMAABD (92 News) – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for hosting Heart of Asia Conference and said that we have suffered immensely in the war against terror, the world should cooperate more.
Inaugurating the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process Ministerial conference in Islamabad along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani thanked Pakistan for hosting millions of Afghan refugees on its territory over the last many decades.
He said that now the regional countries should emphasize on economic development, adding that all the countries will have to gather on the same page. “Afghanistan desires strong people-to-people contacts with Pakistan for further strengthening of relations and mutual trust,” he said.
Afghan president said that terrorists don’t have a religion, adding that a strategy needed to trace the facilitators of terrorists and terrorism.
He pointed out that TAPI is an important regional energy project which will soon be inaugurated in Turkmenistan. He further thanked the Turkmenistan government for the project. “Afghanistan wanted to cooperate with all countries to take benefit from natural resources,” he added.
Ghani further mentioned his relations with India and called for cooperation of all countries for the resolution of internal issues.
