We walked out of parliament over PM Nawaz’s absence: Khurshid Shah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has on Wednesday said that they walked out of the parliament over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif absence from the parliament.

Addressing the National Assembly session in Islamabad on Wednesday, Khurshid Shah said that they have listened to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s explanations but the issue over Panama leaks has not settled yet as it has just begun.

He said that the prime minister has not yet answered the seven questions prepared by the opposition.

He said that Nawaz Sharif paid around Rs 0.6 million income tax in 14 years, adding that the government gave confusing and contradictory statements over offshore companies of premier’s sons.

The opposition leader said that the parliamentary committee can solve the most difficult problems which protests failed to, but said that the opposition has concerns over premier’s speech in the National Assembly yesterday.

Shah said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had paid Rs 4,400 tax a year in 1947 but the prime minister paid Rs 2,700 in 1993.
