KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that India stopped inflation at 4.9%, Bangladesh controlled inflation till 5.5% but why inflation rate in Pakistan is 10.9%.

In a statement, the PPP chairman said that the federal government has put the respect of the Pakistanis at stake by signing agreement with IMF on strict conditions. "The government cannot cover up its incompetency by blaming inflation on the IMF.

Bilawal bhutto also said that PTI is trying to hide its incompetency by putting blame of inflation on IMF. He said that the mafias have raised the prices of chicken by 110% in three months, he maintained.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto, drawing comparisons with the current inflation rate, has said that during the PPP regime, an ordinary family used to buy children’s clothes for Rs 600 that now costs them Rs 3,600. He said that the PTI government, under the selected prime minister, had increased inflation to an extent where the monthly flour needs of a family of five are met at Rs 3,500.

"During PPP’s tenure, the flour needs of an ordinary family of five people cost Rs 1,975 per month. A typical family of five used to pay an average of Rs 3,500 house rent, but under PTI, it costs them Rs 22,000,” he stated.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP will continue to solve the basic problems of the people by forming the next government.
