We will continue to cooperate with JIT: Asif Kirmani
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have on Friday said despite having objections over two members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), that they will continue to cooperate with the investigating team.
Talking to media Judicial Academy in Islamabad on Friday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani said we have and will continue cooperating with the JIT, adding that the JIT was given powers of NAB through consultations with the cabinet.
He said that the prime minister’s sons could seek exemption from appearing before the JIT but they opted to present themselves for accountability.
The prime minister’s special assistant said that they have faced accountability during General Musharraf`s regime.
On the occasion, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Divisoin Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said PML-N is pursuing the agenda of development it had promised during the 2013 elections.
He said the parties which failed in performance started hampering the development agenda being pursued by PML-N.
