Will leave House if NAB proves corruption of a half paisa against me: Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said that he would leave the House if the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) proves corruption of a half paisa against him.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Thursday, he said that the NAB and the PTI are now hand in glove. “The NAB is providing heat to the opposition in the winter,” he said.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the NAB had summoned him in the Saaf Pani case, but arrested him in the Ashiana Housing Scheme scam.
The opposition leader also demanded Speaker Asad Qaisar issue the production order for Khawaja Saad Rafique.
Meanwhile, the opposition staged a walkout in the National Assembly in protest for non-issuance of the production order for Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) MNA Khawaja Saad Rafique.
The opposition mentioned to not attend any further sessions until the issuance of Saad’s production order. They said that the opposition will not accept any further delay in the issuance of Rafique’s production order.
NA Speaker Asad Qaisar informed the house that he is looking at the legal aspects of the production order, adding that he would never compromise on the sanctity of the house.
