LAHORE (92 News) – JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman phoned Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and advised him to seek Allah Almighty’s pardon after withdrawing the Women Protection Act.

He said that the Punjab government had made a law which is in clash with the Quran and Sunnah.

He has summoned an all-parties meeting against the bill in Mansoora on March 15.

Earlier talking to the media after offering condolence over death of Jamia Ashrafia Administrator Maulana Obaidullah, he said that the Women Protection Act is the negation of Islam.

He said that they had proposed to abolish the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at the approval of the 18th Amendment, but the proposal was turned down.

“Only those facing some danger from the NAB are complaining against it,” he maintained.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that the NAB is the law formulated by a dictator. “It had been made to be used against political opponents. There will be reservations if such institutions are formed,” he added.

He said that they had no link with the NAB related cases.
