Won’t allow crime become a shield against politics, says Fawad Ch
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that the country was near to bankruptcy due to corruption of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zaradri.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that the relief was given to the Sharif family only. “We are introducing a scheme to declare the assets. They will either have to return the money or will have to serve the jail. There is no third option,” he said.
He said that the government would not allow the crime become a shield against politics. “Hamza Shehbaz was hiding in the basement. He used women and children as a shield,” the minister said.
Fawad Ch advised the opposition leaders to apply for plea bargain and the NAB would decide on it. He said it is being stated that the Rs85 billion property abroad is owned by Hamza Shehbaz.
The minister said that Zardari wants to launch a movement and the government would reserve 10 rooms for them as people more than 10 rooms would not attend the protest. “Zardari is in habit of first hurling a threat and then he spends next three years in Dubai,” he said.
Fawad Ch said that the accountability process would reach its conclusion.
