World needs to “do more” for Pakistan, says Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry
WASHINGTON (92 News) – Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry has said that Pakistan has suffered most in the war on terror and now the world needs to “do more” for Pakistan.
In a media briefing in Washington on Thursday, he said that the main objective of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit is to improve relations between the two countries.
Aizaz said that the meeting between Nawaz Sharif and John Kerry was very useful in which the matters relating to bilateral issues, war on terror and Afghanistan were discussed.
Three separate dossiers containing evidence of the Indian involvement in subversive activities were handed over to the US Secretary of State.
The foreign secretary said that no nuclear deal is going to be signed between Pakistan and US, adding that the talks regarding the nuclear program is not on the agenda during a meeting between US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Aizaz Chaudhry said that peace in Afghanistan can be restored through dialogues only and Pakistan has cooperated with Afghanistan at every level.
