Yasin Malick detained ahead of Burhan’s anniversary
SRINAGAR (92 News) – In Indian-held Jammu Kashmir, the authorities detained Yasin Malik and many Hurriyat leaders put under house arrest to prevent various programmes in connection with 2nd martyrdom anniversary of youth Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik leadership had called for complete shutdown on Sunday and a march towards Tral, the native town of Burhan Wani where a public meeting will be held on the day.
Indian police arrested Muhammad Yasin Malik after raiding his residence in Srinagar. The occupation authorities have put Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Zafar Akbar Butt and Bilal Siddiqi under house detention or in custody.
Burhan Wani was killed along with two associates by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on 8th July in 2016.

In Indian-held Jammu Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed Saturday against the shifting of illegally detained Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Aasiya Andrabi, and her two associates Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi to New Delhi from Srinagar Central Jail.
Joint Resistance Leadership has given the call for shutdown. The Leadership condemned Indian National Investigation Agency for shifting Kashmiri leaders and termed it the worst form of political vengeance against the resistance leadership.
